About Us

Empowering Everyone, Everywhere

Fact Fort advocates for everyone to have the knowledge and power to make well-informed decisions based on online information. Underserved populations often lack access to online safety and digital literacy, leaving them unable to engage with online content and navigate digital spaces, which affects their online well-being. We strongly believe that access to digital literacy can play a crucial role in combating the spread of misinformation and disinformation.

I am Lungiswa Nyatyowa-Onochie, the founder of Fact Fort. The rapid development of technology and the digital world has motivated me to establish this organization. While many individuals can easily access and navigate online platforms, countless others are left behind, excluded, and deprived of these opportunities. With over 10 years of experience in media and marketing, I understand the significance of information and the profound impact of being unable to access it. This deprivation affects important aspects of life such as rights, democracy, health, education, and much more. I firmly believe that empowering those who lack digital literacy is the key strategy, through the use of local languages to reach everyone.
